Dan Carey produced this at Mr. Dan's Studio in London throughout 2020, working with Squid after producing other bands in their circle. Post-punk, krautrock and new wave sit together, with Ollie Judge singing while drumming. Recordings include a 30-person choir, a horn and string ensemble with trumpet, saxophone and cornet, and field recordings of bees. The title comes from an Anna Kavan short story, and Peel St. is named after the street she lived on.
