Fever to Tell is the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' debut album, recorded at the low-budget Headgear Studio in Brooklyn and produced by David Andrew Sitek and the band. There is no bass guitar, only Nick Zinner's guitars and drum machine and Brian Chase's drums behind Karen O's vocals and lyrics about sexuality, heartbreak and intimacy. Zinner mixed it with Alan Moulder in London. Interscope released it on 29 April 2003, and the band had cancelled a Reading Festival slot in 2002 to concentrate on it.
