Geogaddi is the Boards of Canada album that Marcus Eoin and Michael Sandison recorded between 1999 and 2001 at their Hexagon Sun studio in the Pentland Hills. They recorded over 90 tracks, picked the ones that fitted the atmosphere they wanted, and heavily manipulated acoustic instruments and samples to make a fuzzier, more organic sound than before. The album hides subliminal messages and backmasked sounds, and draws on numerology, paganism, the occult and religious cults, including a sampled mention of David Koresh on "1969". Folk influences include the Incredible String Band and the 1973 film The Wicker Man.
