Teen Dream
- Scores: Noise 1, Unease 1, Complexity 1 (each 1 to 5)
- Genre: Rock, Dream Pop
- Mood: lush, glowing, yearning
- Sound: reverb-heavy guitar, organ, slow tempos, hazy vocals, warm production
Beach House recorded this in about three weeks in July 2009, mostly at Dreamland Studios in Hurley, New York, with Chris Coady co-producing, engineering and mixing. Victoria Legrand plays keyboards and organs, Alex Scally plays guitar, bass and piano, and drummers Dan Franz and Graham Hill play on different tracks. Most of the instruments are the same as on Devotion, but the duo aimed for a more sophisticated sound and held back their use of extensive reverb. It leaked online in November 2009, days after the lead single Norway.
