Thunder Perfect Mind is an apocalyptic folk album recorded at Topic Studios in North London between September 1990 and February 1992, with David Tibet joined by Steven Stapleton, Michael Cashmore, Douglas P., Joolie Wood and guests including Shirley Collins, John Balance and Rose McDowall. Strings, woodwinds, harp, dulcimer and found-sound elements such as corrugations sit alongside guitars and percussion, and two tracks are based on the Gnostic poem The Thunder, Perfect Mind. It closes with the 16-minute "Hitler As Kalki (SDM)", whose liner notes describe a belief that Hitler was Kalki, the tenth incarnation of Vishnu, and which Tibet dedicated to his father, who fought Hitler.
